I can see tree being only good for 1v1 but I do like it with villis -   I use villis to drop tree's toughness then transfer that toughness to a player...

thanks for this btw, i like this deck and have been playing it the last couple of days - i don't have all of the cards yet but most of them and its fun. also, how important is necroptence? I don't seem to miss it much.

Well, if you like how tree works and it's been useful for you, go for it. It's EDH and there should never be two decks equal in everything. Every player is different. I think it's Tree good, but is not for me.
As for Necropotence, I think it's very important, any "Pay 1 life" is critical here, so you can control perfectly the suicide. Also the effect is very good and gives 3 devotion. I can see people cutting it out because of the effect itself, but it's my pet card and ai only cut it when is bad (not enough black lands, discard or graveyard deck, etc).

Ad Nauseam decks are just boring.
For Blood Celebrant I tried to avoid 1/1 creature on the deck but I might add it someday. I really don't test much this deck anymore, I use the watered-down version.
And for Not of this world I didn't Know about the card. So I'll add it in all my Vilis decks. Thank you!
