From my experience, stompy decks do better when it's resilient and redundant. Because of this the deck doesn't try to be a purely aggressive deck but rather a deck that balances the aggressive side with the midrange side. Color splashes should be used to help sideboarding against decks that are just naturally good against our deck, like combo decks or tron decks. The red splash doesn't offer enough to combat bad matchups and only serves to push the deck more towards something similar to goblins.
