A good card to combo with startled awake is fraying sanity. Also isn't jace the mind sculptor banned in modern?

 Technically this deck is considered legacy. Checking all the cards in this set these particular cards came up as "FRONTIER" instead of "MODERN": wall of frost, profane memento, mind sculpt, and urborg, tomb of yawgmoth. Try removing those and if at the bottom of the "set" column changes then it should be modern legal.
