Help with a deck?
« on: January 25, 2020, 05:10:51 pm »
Hi everyone, I have an idea for a casual deck using Tamanoa + Overabundance + Searing Meditation, but not quite.
I'm gonna hit the opponents by tapping lands.
I still don't know how to defend against anything: do you have any ideas?
If you know my previous decks, you know I'm going cheap and fun to play.
Thanks in advance.

Wait so are you trying to do cards like manabarbs? If so, I'd say mana web alongside manabarbs would be nice.

Does Manabarbs interact with Mana Web? I would assume that only works if they float mana in response to the tap trigger.

Elves and infect are the best things in Magic.

Absolutely right. They have to tap the lands for mana to take the damage, but it makes the thought of, "I'll just tap them all for mana," go away. I've done this before and you'd be surprised how often people tap for mana just in case they need it later in the turn, but I also play a lot of cards like flusterstorm.

They can tap all the mana they want but it disappears as phases ends unless of course you have something that allows you to keep mana through phases.

There are plenty of cards that can help this type of strategy along such as burning earth, price of glory, scald, war's toll. You could also use Chandra, Awakened Inferno(the emblem alone especially when you can get out 2 or 3), Zo-Zu the punisher, Torbran Thane of Red Fell, Sulfuric Vortex, Harsh Mentor, Spellshock, Dictate of the twin gods, Furnace of wrath, and Price of progress.
A legend in my own mind or so what the voices keep telling me
