Was this card supposed to be released in Theros? Or are Ikoria and Theros linked somehow?

Look at the card number. All the others are out of 274. That one says out of 254.

Pretty sure that card with that flavour text is in Theros.

Edit: I checked on scryfall. It is a new Theros card. The art has been shopped too.

That's actually kind of disappointing. That level of foreshadowing and world building would have been cool.

Kind of flouts the whole independent multiverse thing, but I'd have still been here for it.

@WizardSpartan I'm not sure about Vivien. I'll playtest her in elfball, but 5 cmc is a bit high for a limited Future Sight. The added limited tutor on her -2 might help. I'm expecting her to be okay in more casual decks but probably too slow in elfball.

Also, so far, I think I might skip Ikoria entirely. Keyword counters sound clunky and awful, Companion feels like a poorly designed mechanic, and mutate seems like it could be interesting, but the cards I've seen with it so far aren't. This entire set feels really thrown together and I'm not interested.

One thing to remember for the Commander decks this year is that each deck has 4 options that can be the commander out of the box. I don't always judge a deck based on the face commander. I built Rayami right away last year. We've seen 5 of I think 70+ new cards? I'm willing to wait before throwing them under the bus.

My one friend had a great time today. He loves Godzilla and is happy the leaks a few days back were real. They're just alternative art for existing cards - I don't see an issue.

IDK how to make these smaller but they're about making things bigger so I don't care. This is also very interesting: Colossification makes any green commander a voltron commander. Even the utility ones. I'm immediately thinking about the Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca voltron deck that I brewed recently...
