Commander Legends Predictions

[Morganator 2.0]

For the last couple sets there have been some leaks on cards and mechanics that turned out to be true. It's only a matter of time before things from Commander Legends get leaked, so I want to get my predictions in now. I had the idea for making a bingo card for this set. Seems like it will be fun. Let's see if I'm able to get a 5-in-a-row.



In the meantime, what do you think will appear in this set?

I really hope/expect they finish the BBD cycle of lands in this set.

Also, I have a weird gut feeling that they will try to create a more balanced Sol Ring. Dunno why, I just feel it.

BBD land cycle finished and a Grixis legendary zombie with a tribal ability that fits more than the current options.

Guess that's more want than prediction but I'll say it's both.

Back to topic- I wouldn't mind a new mana rock that's actually usable. Something else in the 2-3 CMC range would be nice.

New Rocks are always nice. And a finished BBD circle would be really great.

Besides that.. I would like to see some more 4c commanders, and maybe some more 5c that feel less generic.

Perhaps something with the same idea as Najeela, Blade-Blossom, where they are 5 color, but they definitely encourage the deckbuilder to go in a certain direction, rather than just the "5-color goodstuff" route.

I don't know if they would do it this soon after releasing The First Sliver in Modern Horizons, but maybe a few more Slivers?

ETA- You would have to think with 70+ new legendaries, that some of them would be tribal based. Could we see some new tribal matters cards like Harsh Mercy or Patriarch's Bidding?

A new Planeswalker subtype is basically confirmed, since we're getting a Jeska Planeswalker, judging by the artwork. (Also, I remember hearing or reading that's a Planeswalker artwork, can't find the source currently).

I figured you didn't and it definitely counts. I usually keep up with that stuff but I only came across it while looking to see if there was anything more on the sets release date than just Q4 (there's not in case anyone was wondering).

I want to see more lore expressed through the cards, if that makes sense. Flavor text is the best part of the card. In fact, the thing I most dislike about Urza, Lord High Artificer is his lack of flavor text.

This, but mostly the old lore. I really can't bring myself to care about the superfriends. Old Phyrexia and Dominaria, the Weatherlight, etc... those get me hype.
