A sultai elf commander would be nice, but definitely unnecessary.

Preferably one that deals with elves and isn't ban worthy.

Yeah, we don't talk about Leovold. I would like something more along the lines of Marwyn or Ezuri, but in colors that let you play most elves. Though, I guess it would have to be a glint-eye commander because of the Radhas and Bloodbraid Elf.

Actually, I just checked. There are six white elves. I'll take an elf Kenrith, the Returned King, please, minus the generic good stuff abilities.
Elves and infect are the best things in Magic.

So you want a vanilla 5 mana 5/5 elf for a commander? /s

Honestly, a WUBRG elf legend with a generic lord effect would be a pretty fun casual tribal commander to me. Having a neat ability would be cool, but elves are synergistic enough without a good commander effect. (I would definitely play something silly like an elf Reaper King, though. )

The most flavorful effect for elves is the immeasurable amount of mana they can produce. So for me an abzan colored Marwyn, the Nurturer would be the perfect commander. It's pure elf that she becomes stronger with every other elf and thus can produce more mana to have more elvish friends. Great stuff.  :D

Why does anyone want another generic 5-color goodstuff commander? Don't we have enough of those already?

And don't we already have enough elf-tribal commanders and effects?

That's why I facetiously requested a non-goodstuff version. Also, yes, obviously there are enough good elf cards to never need another. But, I'm biased and I'll keep buying good elves if they keep printing them. Except Allosaurus Shepherd. Good fucking lord, that card is expensive for what it does.

*squints*

Morg, look at who you are talking to. Why is that a question on your mind?

It physically hurts to look at the price of that card. I just want scritchy scratchy dino head elf for a reasonable price. Wizards pls

I'd hope for a naya centaur of some kind, but I am aware that I have a soft spot for more "Interesting" (not good) themes and tribes.
Do I make good decks?
No.
But do I make fun decks?
Also No.

Actually, regarding Centaurs, I would think, based on speed and number of attack enabled appendages, a Centaur Lord that granted all of your Centaurs Doublestrike and removed Doublestrike from non-Centaur creatures would be appropriate...

I mean, Stonebrow, Krosan Hero exists. Admittedly it isn't Centaur tribal, but it thematically fits and is sort of similar to what y'all are talking about. Do you think it would be too similar of a design space?

I'm honestly a bit surprised the new Phoenix isn't Legendary.  Considering the set's theme you'd think it would be, or at least that there would be a Legendary Phoenix if that one wasn't it.
