This player is a fricking idiot. Its a three color deck with avg cmc 3.5. Take out two higher cost spells and add ramp but don't cut lands.

It was an older version of the deck then. But your not wrong on the questionable logic. (The deck then had a cmc around 2.6 but I increased that after a certain time, after seeing other decks doing better around 3.0. (around strixhaven release.))

(edit: oh wait confusing decks and versions....oh well....)

I remember when I heard that answer, I didn't think it would improve the deck....(and it really didn't in side testing.)

But It did let me think of some better angles....which eventually lead to the current version.

(Edit: kinda ended up being a combo version with my own twists in the end.)

Criticism and argument is an important part of discussion. Insulting other users is not. We can healthy discussion on card selection without insults.

Also I second swapping out 2 lands for 2 ramp. You've got 37 lands so you can afford to drop some and more ramp will help you cast those bigger spells.

I don't think Diamond Lion can be considered a normal "mana dork"... Having to discard your whole hand is a pretty big downside.

Making a final change..... You know now looking back, I think the card I would have like most if they ever a printed it..... Would be a Equipment that let you discard a card to destroy two permanents on the field......aka something between Mortarpod and a grenade launcher.

This deck basically me trying to make that idea.
