Feature Request: mtggoldfish export/import
« on: December 11, 2021, 08:02:28 pm »
Would it be possible to be able to add mtggoldfish's export format as an accepted input?

Hi GeekyBeerSnob,

DeckStats already supports MTGGoldfish collection importing, I've just tried that.
When you export your MTGGoldfish collection from that website you download a file named mycollection.csv. At this point you have to edit this csv file with a normal text editor like Notepad or Notepad++, a freeware editor https://notepad-plus-plus.org/  replacing the first line Card,Set ID,Set Name,Quantity,Foil,Variation  with the following text

card_name,set_code,set_name,amount,is_foil,comment

Then you have to save the edited file and import it to DeckStats choosing Collection tab - Import csv

Greetings

Hello again,

just a little correction; you have to replace the first line               Card,Set ID,Set Name,Quantity,Foil,Variation            with the following text instead

card_name,set_code,set_name,amount,amount_foil,comment            otherwise you had all cards as foil and not as regulars

Greetings

That sounds easily implementable to the website so that people don't have to do it manually.

Thank you for highlighting this. I have just updated our import page to support the MTG Goldfish header, so you should now be able to upload the CSV as it is. Please give it a try and let me know if there are any issues.
