Typical Grixis Death's Shadow List

Basic plan is to disrupt the opponent with hand attack and land an early threat. Then protect it with Stubborn Denial and control the board with removal. Temur Battle Rage allows us to end the game.

Flex Slots:
The Royal Scions: Really good in slower matchups. Are able to push through damage or find a win condition.
Drown in the Loch: Very versatile, is seldom dead in hand and counters/kills most things.

Sideboard:

1 Abrade
Good against artefact decks and also creature decks. Comes also in against red aggro decks. Versus humans it is good to have different removal because of Meddling Mage.

2 Anger of the Gods
Comes in against go-wide creature decks and Dredge. Plague Engineer is another good option and might be better against Humans and Goblins. Also shuts down the Thopter-Sword Combo. Depends whether or not Dredge is present in the Meta.

2 Ashiok, Dream Render
Good against Titan, Whirza, some GW decks and also graveyard decks. Is probably worth to bring in in the mirror as it shuts down Gurmag Angler and Snampcaster Mage while powering out our own Anglers.

3 Collective Brutality
Amazing card vs red aggro. This matchup seems very hard and CB has 3 relevant modes against those decks.

2 Disdainful Stroke
Good against Titan, Tron variants and decks that run expensive planeswalkers.

1 Dreadbore
Deals with resolved planeswalkers (T3feri) and creatures that are too big to kill with Push/Dismember.

1 Drown in the Loch
Very versatile, feels good in matchups where we want both to counter relatively cheap spells and need additional removal. Storm, Jund, Red Aggro and the mirror come to mind.

2 Kolaghan's Command
Very good against Stoneblade and also grindy matchups where we want to bring back creatures from the yard. Obviously also versus any artefact decks. Hard to shut down with Chalice because it costs 3.

1 Mystical Dispute
Good against UWx decks. May be the best option against those decks. Cheap and efficient.

1 The Royal Scions
Good to have a second copy for grindy matchups.
