First draft at the caves. Enjoyed drafting at an 8-man circular table. First picked Thassa's Oracle with Final Death being the only other appealing option in the pack. Got passed quite a lot of the pieces for 'Spells on opponent's turn' so ran with that.
Opponent 1 (Yash) came out swinging hitting his 3 colours (Naya) on turn 3 so had me on the ropes. Took me down to 4 life by the time I stabilised (inc. removing the 6/1 Achilles) and ended up winning with the oracle scrying for 5. Game 2 went to turns and I had him on 1 life at the end.
Opponent 2 (Michal) had an aura heavy deck and we had a slow first game with me having small creatures out and holding spells - got there in the end. Game 2 I curved perfectly into turn 3 Manticore, turn 4 Arena man and just smashed face destroying blockers.
Opponent 3 (Connor) should've had me first game but made a bad mistake while I was at 5 life double-blocking my 3/3 with his Lampad. This killed both creatures after he sacked one to the Lampad taking me to 4 and leaving him at 13. On his turn he exiled cards to do 2 damage leaving me at 2 and knowing that I would be dead if he could untap. I had 11 power on the board and he only had the 3/3 horse that can't block. I drew the 3/2 blue flyer and had a land and 'One with the Stars' in hand. I used my red looter to discard and draw into... Fateful End. Heart of the cards.
Game 2 went much quicker with opponent keeping a low-land hand and never really stabilised the board.
