Burning Mirror (EDH / Commander)

The primary mode of victory in MTG is reducing an opponent's Life to 0. Even in EDH with its 40 point total it remains the most popular method of victory for a reason.

This deck aims to take advantage of that by creating an asymmetrical trend, simultaneously harnessing Pillowfort and Burn strategies, and implementing them cost efficiently.

The ultimate goal of this deck is to create increasing value that both benefits itself and harms the opponent towards an inevitable victory while distancing itself from the same loss conditions.

1. Do Damage.
2. Null Attacks.
3. Gain Life.

The method is to accomplish at least two of these objectives each turn, effectively redirecting damage. This uses the opponent's strengths against them while also causing them to hesitate.

These three paths should ensure opponents' Life decreases while its own increases, while also having the benefit of dissuading attacks on oneself and encouraging them on others. Supporting cards include damage doublers, combo assistance, and combo disruption. Defenses include flickering, hexproof, and indestructible.
