Crocodile Tribal (Pioneer)

Although they don't have any true lords, a subset of the thirty-odd Crocodiles in the game share a common feature: interacting with -1/-1 counters. Building around this is key to getting the most out of these crocs.
Baleful Ammit and Crocodile of the Crossing are both undercosted creatures that put -1/-1 counters on your creatures. They aren't terrible if forced to put counters on themselves, and having -1/-1 counters on your creatures buffs Tenacious Hunter, but there are better ways.
Ammit Eternal removes all -1/-1 counters from itself whenever it gets through. This can make it a repeatable way of getting around the -1/-1 counter drawbacks.
Crocanura is particularly interesting here; its Evolve ability can cancel out the -1/-1 counters, while at the same time those counters keep it small and allow it to evolve again and again. Since all of the crocodiles that put -1/-1 counters on your creatures are big for their cost, they can all repeatedly evolve Crocanura.
A few support cards for the -1/-1 counters theme round out the deck. Festering Mummy gives you an early-game play. Channeler Initiate can ramp into the bigger crocs. Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs both churn out tokens, which can also have -1/-1 counters placed on them only to be replaced immediately.
Removal comes mostly from the lands, with Grasping Dunes and Ifnir Deadlands being able to take out smaller creatures once you've got your crocodiles out. Bigger creatures can be whittled down, swarmed past, or threatened away with the Deathtouch of Tenacious Hunter and Hapatra's Snake tokens.
With abilities like Haste, Vigilance, Afflict, and Lifelink, this deck will usually play aggressively. However, with token swarming, Reach, Deathtouch, and the option of using Ifnir Deadlands to grind away an opponent's board, it can also switch to a defensive mode if need be. You will want to close out the game before any truly giant creatures get played, though.
