Poisonous Metallic Mushrooms (Standard)

Edit: first build was a Budget, FNM/Table acceptable version, but after comparing it to other saproling builds, I decided to beef it up quite a bit yet keep it affordable. Changes in comments.

Since I pulled a Poison-Tip Archer the first night of the Core 2019 prerelease, I've wanted to use him in a combo deck. He fits quite nicely into a Saproling/Slimefoot deck.

Poison-Tip Archer has Deathtouch and Reach to handle some flying threats, but more importantly he adds the 1 damage to opp for any other creature dying--which is great, since you may be sacking saproling tokens to Fungal Plots, and otherwise will most likely lose some of your other creatures along the way. He pairs nicely with Slimefoot, ticking a point of damage for every sap death, and gaining you a life.

Sporecrown is your fungal/sap Lord, but Metallic Mimic is an even better lord, giving counters that stick even if/when it gets taken out.

Fatal push for cheap removal, Blossoming Defense to save the lords, Migration and Swarm for sap generation at both sorcery and instant speed, and Fungal Plots for sap generation and/or card draw and life-gain.

Sideboard was totally overhauled, and practically SaffronOlive's exact budget Saprolings SB, except I added a Costly Plunder. Costly Plunder is good on its own for cheap card draw, but with Poison-Tip and Slimefoot in play, you pay 1B and sac a sap, opp loses 2 life, you gain 1 life, and draw two cards!
