almost dimir here, but had enough ug cards to play the splash. i got a little lucky as this one ran really well; i played a lot of more assertive decks, but no so assertive that i had no chance. and so played a bunch of my favorite games - falling behind and then stabilizing hard.

went 3-0 beating all-creatures/mage duels GB in a really tight battle for round 1. they curved out and crushed me g1; i curved out with all creatures and removal g2. g3 looked like it was theirs, but i delayed, used onyx to kill a big thing and absorb some damage, then ingenious mastery to draw a million cards and pull ahead. R2 vs an assertive jeskai deck that took g1 and then fell behind all my big stuff in the following games, and R3 vs lorehold aggro with early onyx's wrecking them in g1 and g2.

super fun!
