UB Control (bro arena draft) (Limited)

UB all the card drawing! i really liked how this one played out. it saw so many cards, and had some nice draw 2 payoffs in the lat-nam sage and trench stalker.

i played against monogreen aggro (probably blanchwood armor somewhere in there?) match 1. they scooped fast in g1, rolled me in g2, and got out-carded severely in g3. played BR assertive/sacrifice in match 2. i didn't see act of treason, so i think it was just value sacrifice. the gorgers did work keeping my life high, i saw a lot of cards, and i was just on the front foot the whole match - they didn't have enough high quality creatures, and so the 4 kill spells were clutch.

match 3 vs UW control! this was a fun one. i edged them game 1, putting on pressure with gorgers and sages and not missing any land drops - they did miss some land drops, and so even though they had powerful stuff (urza that pumps artifact creatures and wurmcoil!), they were again always behind. g2 i mulled and it was the opposite - i got off to an ok start, but they never missed a land drop and used 2x pacifism to shut down gorger and my flyer, and the ground was board stalled. we both had the pay 7 to draw 7, but it was clear i was going to deck first, so i conceded. g3 for all the marbles, and it was turn two levitating statue that did all 20 damage. their pacifisms couldn't touch it, and while they tried to play draw go, their hand was slow, and i kept pecking away. eventually i drew some other junk to threaten them, and the statue got them close to lethal. the paid 7 to draw 2, looking for their disenchant, and couldn't find it.
