my love of RG beatdown in arena persists. 3-0.
beat esper control in round 1 - patient rebuilding was too slow, and in g3 a sided in devil's play delayed the scarab god long enough for me to wrap things up. played a GWR kind of mirror match 2, they were also doing some hardened scales type things, they had phyrexian ajani. in the decisive g3, i curved out super hard with mishra adding in damage, and it was just too much. match 3 vs jeskai spells was the toughest, they had a nice deck with a lot of good reactive counters. i went too big with great henge game 1. but game 2 after i put on the pressure, their last card was a sphinx's rev that tranformed their smoldering egg and then let them eat my battle cry goblin and my elf. i just sat as the played some stuff in the board - i had them at 6 life, so they were a little leery of attacking all out right away. i then topdecked ulvenwald oddity, and with a board of some goblins still hanging out and a dryad greenseeker, i learned that they were out of gas. transformed oddity for the win!
