This is Beyond the Wall, my Pramikon Pillowfort / Superfriends deck.

Planeswalkers are quite literally threat magnets: they provide incredible utility, flexibility and value. As such it's only natural that they're quite heavily targeted and quickly hated off the board. I had always been interested in building a Superfriends deck as well as a Pillowfort deck, and Pramikon inspired me to do both, with the Pillowfort pieces defending our Planeswalkers on top of ourselves, allowing us to use them as value/control engines and even as win-cons.

Having Pramikon in the command zone is a guarantee that we will always have a way to protect our board and deter attackers as early as turn 3, and in a 4-players game it makes it so that the threat level of 2 of our opponents is mitigated, on top of which we also get a certain degree of control over which board we want to focus on controlling.

(Note that it is however it is possible to hold on to Pramikon for much longer as a Plan B with the correct set-up on turn 1-3.)

Our tools include a wide variety of defensive cards that will require opponents to spend resources to interact with our board (such as Propaganda, Ghostly Prison and Windborn Muse, even cards like Smothering Tithe and Rhystic Study also take resources away from opponents in a similar way), or will provide bodies (Aether Membrane, Fog Bank), or cards that will protect our board state (Boros Charm, Comeuppance) and of course cards that do a bit of everything: Kazuul, Tyrant of the Cliffs, Selfless Squire, Fumiko, the Lowblood.

The deck also runs a small "Forced attack" subtheme, though I decided not to go all in on this theme since I found some of the cards available to be sub-optimal and as such I selected only the ones I felt were actually relevant to this deck's strategy, while having manageable drawbacks. These cards include Curse of Opulence for ramp, Disrupt Decorum for removal/finisher, Duelist's Heritage and Rite of the Raging Storm to benefit from our opponents' attacks and benefit us offensively, Varchild, Betrayer of Kjeldor, Varchild's War-Riders, etc.

The result should be difficult enough to interact with, allowing us to keep our Planeswalkers alive to benefit from their ability for as long as possible. The joy of Planeswalkers is that not only can they provide long-term value, they also fulfill more than one roll. As such the ones we run mostly aim to draw cards, act as control pieces, or help defend our board. A lot of them also double as offensive tools or even win-cons if we're able to bring them to ult.

While the deck seems to run 3 different themes, I've found that most of the pieces of this deck all interlock really well and all support each other, which makes the deck feels cohesive as a whole. All the cards seem to support the commander and vice-versa.

Possible upgrades for this deck include: Teferi's Protection, Deepglow Skate, Dack Fayden, Cyclonic Rift.
