Hello everyone! Wanted to share my budget Soulherder Emeria, the Sky Ruin deck! Its a deck thats full of ETB value that can hold off the early game to beat out the competition in the late game.

Most of the cards are common in soulherder decks, but I decided to add a couple spicy cards that work with the theme of the deck.

Cavalier of Dawn is a good catch-all removal tool. While the ability when it dies is irrelevant in this deck.l, the ETB effect is a clutch move. Very rarely are we unable to deal with the 3/3 tokens as well. With Deputy of Detention and a Soulherder out, you can bounce Cavalier, then exile all the tokens by flickering the deputy and gain a massive amount of counters on the herder.

Lumbering Battlement is a sleeper value card. Unlike Yorion, Sky Nomad, it keeps creatures off the battlefield in case youre worried about a wrath effect until it leaves. Combined with Soulherder you can flicker your entire board several times a turn to reap the benefit of the ETB effects. Not only that, but it gets big and stupid real quick by exiling your own stuff. Its really easy to swing in with a big battlement, then on your end step flicker with Herder, and abuse the ETB effects of your stuff.

Sun Titan is a big beatstick boi who synergizes well with Emeria, the Sky Ruin, as well as the rest of our deck. A big issue we have is we want to keep our early game resources on the board, but having titan late allows us to trade with our opponent early and not take any excessive beatings. It also synergizes well with the Field of Ruin.

Skittering Surveyor is for finding more plains for Emeria. 1-of because it really isnt that important because Emeria is a backup plan if the game goes really late and we need extra push.

Field of Ruin is another surprisingly good card. Removes problem lands like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, Tron lands, Field of the Dead etc. It also fetches us our Plains for Emeria, so win win!
