Result: 4-0

Round 1: vs BG (2-0)
It’s a fairly easy round, when your opponent is putting Doubling Season in their deck without a good plan to support it. Fortunately he’s not playing WR as his pool is indeed really strong.

Round 2: vs ? (2-0)
I really forgot😅I just remember it’s more a midrange matchup, both of us having some mana issues during the game, and I win somehow.

Round 3: vs BGU (2-0)
His deck is actually having high potential (eventually being 3rd place, only losing to me) as he also has Gruff Triplets, 2 The Goose Mothers, Devouring Sugarmaw. However he’s having mana issues (flooding + screwing), also playing Devouring Sugarmaw without white and not able to generate enough tokens makes his Devouring Sugarmaw basically tapped forever. I’ll say my deck is constructed better, but he’s also pretty unlucky.

Round 4: vs WB? (2-0)
His deck is really strong, and managed to make the “enchantment going to yard” thing work. He also managed to kill all my Triplets without losing a lot. But both games are decided by Triplets, especially a turn 4 Triplets being too difficult to recover. Another reason being having the Lord skitter’s blessing, helping me to find the cards that I need in both games.

Final thoughts:

  • Gruff Triplets is just so strong
  • BG is having a high win rate for a reason
  • I really like playing green-based ramp😅But my deck is also able to go beat down. I remembered a game that I just played Syr Ginger and another creature, and start smashing
  • I’m winning mainly due to able to get more value from my cards, if I’m against aggro I’m not sure if I can win that easily, especially I don’t have enough early- turn removals
  • Instead of splashing for red removal, splashing for blue may have higher upside. While having one removal less, I can have Hatching Plans and Talion's Messenger, but not guaranteed to win 4-0.
  • Moonshaker Cavalry foil is beautiful
