Building Teferi Chein Veil on a budget, cutting all the exorbitant expensive pieces. This is a deck that I'm trying to build to play into my semi-casual play group and commander events.
Deck interactions and combos:
I - Teferi, Temporal Archmage + The Chain Veil That's the name of the deck, you'll need this combo to win the game, and until there you'll play the control player. If you don't know how to play control or neither how this combo works you can find some good material online explaining it.I'm assuming that you alredy know how this deck works and is interessed in a budget version off it.
II - Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal + mana rocks This is a replacement and the second main way to achieve infinite mana on the deck. Talking about the mana rocks: they're necessary to combo off with both combos. I've replaced budget versions off them instead of the Mana Crypt, Grim Monolith and others package, and the Isochron Reversal combo replaces both the secundary ways that also are expensive: Palinchron + High Tide or Grim Monolith effect + Rings of Brighthearth.
III - Mindslaver + Academy Ruins Once you drew your entire deck with Teferi, Temporal Archmage + Chain Veil this is one of the possible win cons of the deck. It works as follows: with infinite mana gain the control of all your opponents turns activating Mindslaver, recurring it with Academy Ruins and Teferi, Temporal Archmage +1. This is a win by mill where you control all the turns of your opponents doing nothing until they draw their deck and loose to mill while you continue to use Academy Ruins to draw Mindslaver continuing the loop and not loosing to mill. Off course, just explain the combo and everyone will scoop, you don't need to do all the stuff. This is a budget replacement to Ugin, the Spirit Dragon + The Chain Veil in the cEDH decks.
IV - Milling everyone Following the other strategies, another win condition is Blue Sun's Zenith + +1 Teferi, Temporal Archmage to mill everyone out. You can also use Stroke of Genius + Mission Briefing to mill up to 2 opponents.
V - Other alternatives to win with Teferi Chain on a budget Other budget replacements following the same strategy are: Infinite Mana + Ambassador Laquatus or you can win with Laboratory Maniac.
