Horobi is Slaying the Competition (EDH / Commander)

Horobi is ready to slaaaaaaaaay

With Horobi in play anything that targets becomes a kill spell. I wanted to make sure that the choices would be useful when Horobi was in play but also when he wasn't. Dread Presence, Hex Parasite, Shadow Alley Denizen, etc.

Since targeting Horobi would kill him too, we can't use equipment like lightning greaves to protect him. To protect him we've got Wail of the Nim, Gift of Doom (It doesn't target!) and Soul of New Phyrexia. Nightmare Shepherd, Mikeus, the Unhallowed, and Phyrexian Reclamation can bring him back if he's died.

Since Mono Black is weak against enchantment destruction we've got Steel Hellkite, Ugin, the Ineffable, Oblivion Stone, and Disk to take care of non-creature card types. Karn, the great creator can also turn a non creature artifact into a creature so we can kill it.

Several lands even turn into machine guns with Horobi in play. Maze of Ith, Desert, Shizo, Death's Storehouse.

Most of the time you'll want to wait to play Horobi until you can pair him with a cheap kill spell or you've got ways to protect him, it's usually better to be patient.

Planeswalkers are easy to protect in this deck so we've got several who will stick around longer than at a typical EDH table.
