V 2.0 of one of my favorite EDH Decks, Slivolution.
I didn't keep track of the changes on this version, because I consider this to be the first real full release version of this deck. The version 1 was definitely beta. This one is much much better and more focused. For any non Sliver cards, I tried to run as few as possible that has more than one colored mana in their CMC to make them easier to cast.
Also I focused more on really strong utility and mana ramp rather than draw, since I realized that really, this commander is a solid draw mechanic all on his own so you really don't need a bunch of other draw cards. So the few draw cards that are still in the deck, are only the best, like Distant Melody.
This version has more one sided boar wipe type cards as well, such as Comeuppance, AEtherize, Archfiend of Despair, Cyclonic Rift and Harsh Mercy.
Ramp wise it has Chromatic Lantern, Cryptic Gateway, Fellwar Stone, Herald's Horn, Pillar of Origins, Sol Ring, Urza's Incubator, Harvest Season, Tempt with Discovery, Somberwald Sage, Land Tax, and Mirari's Wake, which are all new additions. Also a little color fixing in Joiner Adept and Vizier of the Menagerie.
Overall I think the deck is really solid and fits in perfectly with my other tribal decks. It doesn't really miss out on any of the important strategies of EDH, like ramp, draw, mass pump, one sided board wipes, protection from removal, lots of shared tribal abilities, etc. It has it's own unique theme and feel, even for a deck that really just comes down to eventually wiping out all you opponents with a mass attack. It's 5 color, but it doesn't feel like it struggles because of it. The land base is comprehensive without being crazy expensive. I'm just really proud of this one overall, even if it is my most expensive commander deck yet.
