To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Token based Aristocrats build based on the new Teysa.
The idea is to produce a lot of tokens and then sac them for value with one of our Blood Artist like effects out. Hopefully with Teysa on board to double up on the triggers.
Because we're in commander and pinging your opponents to death could take a while I've included some ways to amp up the small bits of damage we do. These include wound reflection to get them again on the next end step, and Sanguine Bond to allow the 1 life we gain with a lot of our Blood Artists to be turned into damage (Note: I purposely didn't put in Exquisite Blood because while cool, it feels like a cheap combo).
There are a few combos in the deck, mostly there as a rip cord if games are going on too long. These include Nim Death Mantle + Elenda, the Dusk Rose or Sengir Autocrat + Ashnod's Altar + Blood Artist to drain everyone or create infinite vamps. The other is Karmic Guide + Reveillark + Blood Artist + Sac Outlet to drain everyone at the table for the win. I have yet to use them in a game. If they end up being feel bad combos I may take them out. Most of the combo pieces provide either tokens or recursion on their own so I feel like they justify their slot w/o only being there for combo purposes.
I put Arena Rector in pretty much to cheat Elspeth or Ob Nixilis onto the field depending on if I need tokens or card draw. I pulled one in battlebond and wanted to try it out.
After a few games w/ Smothering Tithe generating a log of loot, I am considering a treasure sub theme w/ Pitiless Plunderer and Revel in Riches. Might be fun to try for that alternate win con.
