I Don't Think So, Tim (EDH / Commander)

My mono blue deck led with a rotating cast of commanders. My current favorite is Azami. Small wizards theme. A good number of counters and cantrips. Lots of card draw will get you to the combos quickly.

Sometimes I get salty and want to keep someone from playing the game. If that's the case, I run Baral as commander and work more counterspells in. The goal here is to counter whoever's stuff until I can take people out with Baral and the pike's commander damage or get some dudes to connect for big damage or just swarm the board with constructs and drakes. Oh and I'll hopefully steal some things as I counter them. That's the best.

Here are the cards to swap if running Baral -

Overwhelming Denial - Docent of Perfection

Rewind - Laboratory Maniac

Desertion - Venser, Shaper Savant

Scourge of Fleets - Teferi, Mage of Zalfir

For fun I like to run Talrand as commander. If that's the case I would swap out Baral for something else like another draw spell or something or Keeper of Keys

To be more mean I could also run Empress Galina as commander. I would probably swap out a counterspell or Baral for her.
