Deck info

• Win condition: combat damage from flying vehicles. Generate 1/1 Sand Warrior creature tokens with Hazezon, Shaper of Sand to pilot vehicles, or use other legitimate, real pilots like Martyr for the Cause or Conspiracy Theorist. Buff the pilots (and some vehicles) with anthems (see the Miscellaneous section). Bomb cards include: Parhelion II to run away with 4/4 angels, Nahiri's Lithoforming to draw a ton of cards and generate a ton of 1/1 Sand Warrior creature tokens, and Thunderhawk Gunship (for when you have lots of 1/1 Sand Warriors out, especially if you have Army of Allah or Shefet Dunes to buff them).
• Sub theme: land destruction. Deserts are slow lands. Land destruction will help slow down opponents to match. Focus on destroying their nonbasic lands, such as Command Tower and Reliquary Tower, to name two.
• Mana ramp, such as Hour of Promise, is chosen to compliment Hazezon- sacrifice even important lands like Command Tower to search for desert lands to get more pilots from Hazezon's triggered ability. Alternatively, sacrifice deserts (Dunes of the Dead would be ideal) to play them again from the graveyard, but sacrificing Command Tower is preferable.
• Spot removal is all meant to target any permanents from opponents, including lands. Most can even target your own lands for some benefit. For example, Generous Gift could be used to get a 3/3 token to use as a pilot by targeting your own Command Tower. Mass creature removal is effectively asymmetric as your vehicles won't get hit, and the Sand Warrior tokens are easily replaced and meant to be sacrificed.
• More lands, less ramp and card draw to support the desert drop and land destruction theme. Deck as a whole leaned more toward the theme than functionality.
