This is my Rakdos, Lord of Riots commander. The deck is built around dealing damage at nearly every turn, either via attack, or effects with a flavorful splash of demons. Every card I've selected falls into to one of five separate sections, all having a task that is pertinent to the deck's goals.

A) Deal direct damage, or amplify damage from other sources in order to allow Rakdos to be played, or to lessen the costs of other creatures due to Rakdos. (Nettle drone and pals, Warstorm Surge, Sarkhan's Unsealing, Mogis, Gratuitous Violence, Archfiend of Despair, Berserkers' Onslaught)

B) Have a large, impactful effect, either when entering the battlefield or while being on the battlefield while also having either a large colorless mana cost or an X mana cost to allow heavily amplified effects. (Blightsteel Colossus, Etali, Grenzo, Combustible Gearhulk, Steel Hellkite, Walking Ballista, Archfiend of Depravity)

C) Having some sort of protection to cause creatures to be more difficult to remove, such as graveyard recursion or protection abilities. (Phyrexian Reclamation, Palace Siege, Sheoldred, Lightning Greaves)

D) Generate card draw or tutor to keep momentum and prevent stalling on turns where the entire hand can be played out at once. (Bloodgift Demon, Harvester of Souls, Immortal Sun, Phyrexian Arena, Belzenlok, Razaketh, Blood Speaker, Indulgent Tormentor)

E) Fall into another category while also creating a win condition when in the correct circumstance. (Mikaeus/Triskelion/Cauldron of Souls, Liliana's Contract, Chandra's Ignition, Master of Cruelties, Neheb/Aggravated Assault)

Most cards in the side board exist for particular opponents or for memories sake in case I decide to sub them back into the deck. (Charmbreaker Devil, Dire Fleet Daredevil, Diabolic Revelation)

Kaervek is a nice card that I am a fan of, but I have had a lot of dilemma finding a position for it among the other cards. It is number 4 on the list of would be additions.

Hellkite Tyrant is for the artifact decks in my meta. A player or two are known to run Mycosynth Lattice so it's a potential game ender in those particular games.

Exquisite Blood is more of a dream game ending combo, but since my deck as a whole is lacking on other sources of life gain, I've decided to keep it and Sanguine Bond on the back burner. If I ever find a good amount of cards I feel do not fit cohesively, they will be added.

Solemn Simulacrum impact is too small for me. I feel that the card slot it takes up can do much more than a get a land/draw a cards. Admittedly with Cauldron/Mikaeus and one of the sac outlets I could recycle the effect, but the window is too precise when other more generally powerful cards exist.

If a Chromatic Lantern enters my possession it will replace Veinfire Borderpost.

With the release of Ravnica Allegiance we got a lot of new Rakdos themed cards, and just good cards in general. Particularly for me, Mirror March and Theater of Horrors. Mirror March is a tad slow, but when it manages to stay on the board, it's disastrous at best and worth a shot at worst. Theater of Horrors is just more effective card draw, and anything that prevents stalling is great.

When I come into a sum of disposable income, I will update the lands with the entire Maybe Board.
