Based on original idea by Jason Schneiderman for Inquest #17 (#18, Sept 1996, p.25)

Original Description:
In the Sixteenth Century, there was another game based on magic cards- they called it Tarot. Today, we use those cards to divine the future. Is there a tournament victory in the cards for you?

Original Decklist:
An actual Tarot Deck has 78 cards: 22 for Major Arcana and 56 for Minor Arcana. The theme deck was an 86-card mess, including 28 lands (not counting Havenwood Battleground), spread amongst the five colors. A collection of artifacts depicting only half of the Minor Arcana was there "to improve splashability".

Obviously, that list was meant to be "for fun"; comparing Magic cards with their tarot counterparts, and not for playing in an actual Magic game, competitive or otherwise.

However, the presence of those 28 lands impled that Schneiderman's list was meant to be for more than mere divination. It doesn't take a third eye to know that Tarot: The Gathering will falter 99% of the time...

This Decklist:
If only EDH/Commander was a thing back then, the idea would have made a lot more sense.

Lead by the charismatic Captain Sisay, this mainly White deck is set to build up an army from all walks of life. Recruit Peasants and Royals, Legends and Expendables, and even Mortals and the Gods! All of whom bound to destiny.

The road to victory will depend on what fate decides to deal you. (or what Sisay fetches for you) Will it be a horde of cats, care of Queen Kemba? Assault by Lord Heliod's devotees? Some diabolic intervention courtesy of Tibalt? I bet if you can squeeze in Hellkite Tyrant as your Emperor analogue, you can win by hoarding everyone's treasure too.

While this new decklist looks as haphazard as the original, its operation is easier to use. Now you can divine your future, and properly kick some ass!
