To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
Control Deck built on MTG Arena:
Its strategy is to slow down your opponent while waiting for Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep, Iymrith, Desert Doom or other big creatures with ward to finish the game.
To protect yourself against your opponent's creatures there are many removals: Bloodchief's Thirst, Infernal Grasp, Feed the Swarm (also useful against sagas and enchantment decks), Blood on the Snow, which can return Iymrith, Desert Doom or Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep from your graveyard, and The Meathook Massacre, useful to gain life against aggressive decks.
To speed up the game there are four copies of Consider that can be combined with Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep and Iymrith, Desert Doom that refills your hand every turn.
Eyetwitch is the only cheap creature and is used as a blocker to fetch lessons from your sideboard.
Mirrorshell Crab and Colossal Skyturtle are here only to be channeled into counterspell or bouncers (or your own creatures) and slow down your opponent. Combined with Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep are very powerful since you can reuse them a lot of time and their abilities are difficult to prevent with other counterspells. Eventually they can be cast as creatures late in the game. Also their ward ability makes them difficult to target with removals.
In addition, one copy of Port of Karfell can restart your "Runo-big creatures combo".
Lastly green mana sources come from MDFCs or bicolor lands because Colossal Skyturtle is mostly channeled as bouncer, so they don't slow down your strategy, making this deck Dimir, sometimes Sultai.
