PLAY GUIDE
The goal with this deck is to storm off with a bunch of recursive spells (using Feather as an engine) or, failing that, just knock your opponents out with combat damage. The most important thing to remember when playing is that Feather IS NOT an aggro commander. Feather is a commander who wants to accrue value with cantrip spells and slowly chip down your opponents while drawing a TONNE of cards. Bearing that in mind, DO NOT play Feather without protection, your opponents will not waste time slamming her back into the command zone and setting you back two turns. Be smart and look after Feather, the deck is abysmal without her on board and untapping with her out will put you wayyyyy ahead of your opponents.
With all that out of the way, have fun! And enjoy showing your opponent's that the Boros Legion is no longer a force to be trifled with!
CARD NOTES
-Mirrorwing Dragon & Zada, Hedron Grinder: The multi-target effect can be a great win condition if you have enough bodies, but these cards also shine with any of your cantrip cards, as all of them will now draw you cards equal to the number of creatures you control. This gets out of hand quickly if you can set it up right so protect these creatures as highly as you're protecting Feather. (Side note: A niche interaction specific to Mirrorwing Dragon occurs when an opponent targets it with a removal spell, it will copy it and target all of THEIR creatures with it. You can end up wiping an opponent's entire board with their own spell).
-Path to Exile: If you're not using this to remove a threat, it can be a great, recursive, ramp card with Feather. Target your Spawn/Elemental/Cat Tokens for maximum value, but also works on creatures that have outlived their usefulness or who are chump blocking.
-Brought Back: Good for bringing Feather back from the graveyard, but also, in a pinch, will work as ramp with Myriad Landscape, Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, Naya Panorama, Wayfarer's Bauble & Burnished Hart.
-Spawning Breath: Pretty simple one, target your own creatures for a recursive source of colourless mana or 0/1 bodies. Goes great with Mirrorwing Dragon or Zada, Hedron Grinder, both for multiple Spawns a turn(with the multi-target), or buffing the Spawns to turn them into threats.
-Magnetic Theft + Sunforger: Magnetic Theft is a great target to search for with Sunforger if you can spare the mana. It basically lets you use Sunforger twice a turn while Feather is on board. This combo can lead to some incredible value BUT be careful not to put yourself in a situation where you can't use Sunforger to protect Feather or your board.
-Open the Armoury: Targets are Sunforger, Sword of the Animist and Swiftfoot Boots.
