The deck plan is to swarm the board FAST with tokens and win either via combat with big flying tokens, by pings from Purphoros, God of the Forge and Impact Tremors or with a big Banefire that cannot be countered. It`s designed for MTGO 1v1 style formats with either 30 or 40 starting life. Can work in multiplayer in cEDH pods. The point is to be able to play cEDH style on a medium budget and without the need for infinite combos, while being competitve against those

Can hold it's own in cEDH environments because it plays a great deal of cheap interaction and a ton of card draw to hit that interaction as soon as possible, to keep other players off their combo plans. Once Kykar hits the field, it`s protect the bird king and win with tokens while the others try to combo you.

/!\ Tried to keep the $$$ price lower than your typical cEDH deck. Also it`s based on cards that I personally own in paper so some usual suspects might be missing /!\

Suggestions to lower the price:

The the main way to lower the price is by replacing the expensive lands (fetches in particular, but also the shocklands) with either basics, tap lands or worse fetches (Terramorphic Expanse, Evolving Wilds) to keep the shuffle effect. Don't worry much if you make the mana worse, this can be overcome with smart deckbuilding. Below you will find suggestions on how to adapt the deck for worse mana. Focus on Blue when thinking alternative lands, it`s the most important color in the deck, especially early. The order of importance for mana is Blue > Red > White

The tutors are important to the deck, they help make it more consistent but it can function without them. Just replace Muddle the Mixture, Mystical Tutor, Merchant Scroll, Gamble with cheap card draw with filtering or repeatable like Anticipate, Crash Through, Shimmer of Possibility, Dig Through Time, Treasure Cruise, Rhystic Study, Drawn From Dreams, Ignite the Future, Fact or Fiction . In the end, just make sure you have in the area of 20 cheap spells that draw cards. More is a bonus. Idyllic Tutor, which now is dirt cheap due to the Theros reprint is decent (kinda expensive in mana) to find wincons like Impact Tremors, Jeskai Ascendancy, Goblin Bombardment

If you are not able to get some of the blue cantrips, you can go a different route and add red cantrips like Renegade Tactics, Rile, Warlord's Fury, Crash Through. With worse mana base, the red cantrips will be easier to cast by saccing tokes to Kykar to make red, so consider going red if your mana base is cheaper

If you are not able to find any of the counterspells, alternatives like Memory Lapse, Mana Leak, Tale's End, Whirlwind Denial, Negate and even Quench are good enough. Some of those might be better than double mana counters already in the deck because they are easier to cast, especially worse mana base

If you do not own the mana rocks, up the number of lands to 36 and include red rituals like Pyretic Ritual, Desperate Ritual, Seething Song. Note that this is worse than mana rocks so try to include as many as possible. Don`t play 3 mana ones that add 1, instead maybe play something like Gilded Lotus for late ramp.

Lotus Petal -> Simian Spirit Guide for insta mana, Thought Vessel for a bit more ramp or just a basic

Smothering Tithe -> Battle Hymn for ramp, consider Dockside Extortionist if you happen to have it

Flusterstorm -> Whirlwind Denial or Spell Pierce or Force Spike

Force of Negation -> Spell Pierce, Force Spike or Negate

Cyclonic Rift -> Flood of Tears

Lightning Greaves -> Swiftfoot Boots

Path to Exile -> Declaration in Stone , Reality Shift

Selfless Spirit -> Boros Charm

Teferi, Time Raveler -> The Royal Scions, Verity Circle, Ral, Izzet Viceroy, Dack Fayden

Sensei's Divining Top -> it's not 100% necessary, it just makes your draws better in general. It synergies best with fetchlands, so if you don`t play fetches, you can remove it without a problem. Replace with some card draw effect with filtering, like Dig Through Time, Anticipate or even Treasure Cruise

Purphoros, God of the Forge -> there is no real way to replace purphoros as is, but you can do something like Guttersnipe for a very similar effect that will trigger when Purphoros would have triggered anyway. If you add Guttersnipe, consider adding Electrostatic Field too.

Shared Animosity - The best would be to add a red instant that pumps the team at instant speed, like Trumpet Blast. Dont discount the power of a finisher like this, its an important addition that will win you games even though it sounds bad to have it

Snapcaster Mage -> This is a deck where Mission Briefing might bet BETTER than Snappy, as it`s an instant that will trigger all other effects that care for instants. Another alternative would be Past in Flames and even Underworld Breach
