Prototype-Ashiok (Sen Trips: Flavor/Budget) (EDH / Commander)

DISCLAIMER:
This deck is only running basic-lands. I never decided how much I wanted to spend on the manabase before being told how hated Sen Triplets is, and I'm not a fan of playing a "Kill on Sight" commander.

GAMEPLAN:

1. (Ramp) Pretty simple we need to put out our commander to start stealing cards and we need to be able to cast those cards for the correct mana.

2. (Removal/Counters) and (Bounces/Silences) Both, let you answer opponents threats that don't interest us and return those that do for our eventual use. You want to be taking out their deck specific facilitators to leave their hands full of juicy "Generic Engines"/"Finishers" for you to use with Sen Triplets.

3. (Flavor Slots) Other "Thieves" along with "Venser, Shaper Savant" which put things back in your opponents hands, "Azor, The Lawbringer" which keeps things in their hand, and Refletor mage which does both.

4. (ETB) Ephemerate and Ghostly Flicker are legitimately valuable play in its own right as they protect your board and theres more than enough powerful ETB effects to recur in this deck, but Archaeomancer, and Phyrexian Metamorph are the keys to breaking them. Which turns the whole category into an absurdly powerful engine that can protect itself.
