Basically the plan is to play all of the elves, draw all of the cards and kill the opponent with Shaman of the Pack.
Alternatively curve something like Thornbow Archer into Dwynen's Elite into Shaman of the Pack and just kill them on turn 4.
The deck has an incredible weakness to boardwipes and 2 for 1 removal spells and as such Evolutionary Leap and Ulvenwald Mysteries provide the needed card draw/recovery.
Clip wings is just good because we are so weak to fliers and it feels bad dying to an unanswered flier for so many turns.
Zendikar Resurgent in the main is interesting and I am not sure if it correct. It can be played on turn 4 and then just provide an endless stream of cards and the mana to cast them or it can rot in your hand because they bolted all your dorks and youre stuck on two lands. Saying that, I think it is correct to run it as the games that it works are so amazing compared to the games where it doesn't as youre likely to lose those games anyway.
A lot of people may get turned off from the deck because its running a mere 14 lands. I have tested the deck with 16 and 18 lands and just kept cutting them as I found myself getting flooded constantly. This allowed me to also up my mana dork count to better ramp if I manage to get 2 mana by turn 2.
Cryptolith Rite is the absolute real deal, doing a great impression of Heritage Druid, sans the haste aspect of course. It is the key part of the deck and allows for ridiculous turns where you dig through your deck with evolutionary leap and just kill your opponent from very high life.
Loam Dryad is the only non elf in the deck but I feel she deserves a spot as she is another 1 drop mana dork that allows us to go 1 Drop 2 Drop+1 Drop, 2Drop + 2 Drop.
When playing the with a starting hand that has Gnarlroot Trapper and Loam Dryad, assuming you can cast either it is always correct to gnarlroot trapper first. This allows you to cast a dwynens elite and get the extra token
