Esper Flash Control (Standard)

General strategy of the deck is to efficiently remove your opponents threats, set up for 2(+) for one trades and eventually kill your opponent with gearhulks and manlands.

I am trying out Revolutionary Rebuff as two mana interaction is so important to answer early walkers as we have no way to pressure them.

I am considering testing -3 Succumb to Temptation +3 Anticipate to help with some land-screw issues. Sometimes you can get stuck on 2-3 lands and you just need to dig a bit deeper to get there.

Otherwise, the manabase is pretty much perfect. The combination of Glimmer of Genius and the Aether Hub gives you more than enough energy and allows you to cast pretty much whatever you want whenever.

I am playing 2 Immolating Glare as I wanted another early game removal spell that also was able to hit man lands later in the game as traditionally they can be difficult to deal with as control. Blessed Alliance could be subbed here but I prefer the ability to target what I want to kill.

I am playing a split of 2 Fumigate and 2 Cataclysmic Gearhulk as the ability to destroy artifacts (Extra vehicles) and the leaving of a 4/5 vigilance creature can be key to winning a match. As you might expect from the list, the vehicle deck can be a difficult matchup and this is one of the trump cards you have to deal with the vehicles as they hit.

Of note, as with all my decklists you'll find, the sideboard is pretty much trash and you should definitely not take it as gospel/this is what should be played.
