If Soulflayer was a legendary creature, I'd love to make a commander deck for it.
This deck is built around dumping creature cards into your graveyard and then abusing their stats/abilities with Soulflayer and Varolz, the Scar-Striped. If you an get both win conditions down, you're almost unstoppable.
Your opening hand needs something to dump useful cards into your graveyard. Commune with the Gods and Grisly Salvage are especially useful because they also allow you to pull your win conditions out of your library.
Then, you either drop a Soulflayer for cheap (which will need Lifelink and Hexproof or Indestructible), or you drop some creatures with good abilities and make them huge with Varolz.
The Sideboard features a lot of cards to remove graveyard hate, which you will want to swap in if you think your opponent might be swapping in their hate.
An optimal start would be:
Turn 1 - Drop Banehound
Turn 2 - Use Grisly Salvage to fetch something and dump a lot. Chump block with Banehound.
Turn 3 - Play Varolz, the Scar-Striped
Turn 4 - Play Soulflayer (has Hexproof, Haste, Indestructible, Deathtouch, Lifelink, and Trample), then Salvage a Channeler Initiate to make it a 7/7.
