To play your deck at an official ("DCI-sanctioned") tournament you need a deck registration sheet. Here you can download such a sheet pre-filled with the cards in this deck!
Please note: This is not an official DCI service. So please always make extra sure that the sheet contains all the cards in your deck and fulfils all DCI requirements. If you notice anything wrong, please let us know. DCI is a trademark of of Wizards of the Coast LLC.
This is another ultra-budget Modern deck. It wins via infinite tokens from [[Midnight Guard + Presence of Gond]].
Unlike [[Splinter Twin]] our tokens do not have haste, so we have to wait a turn after going infinite. This makes us vulnerable to mass removal. However, if we have a [[Bramblesnap]] on the board from the previous turn, it can tap the tokens and attack for infinite trample damage on the turn we combo off. [[Soul Warden]] (can be replaced with [[Essence Warden]] at our discretion) also gives us infinite life when we combo off, which can help us survive to re-assemble the combo if something unfortunate happens.
Other spells are there for blocking and protecting Midnight Guard. Also never forget that [[Vines of Vastwood]] counters the actual [[Splinter Twin]].
If you have a better mana base available, you can splash red for [[Impact Tremors]] or [[Mass Hysteria]] and win as soon as you combo off. I do not.
Optimal play 1:
T1: [[Forest]], [[Avacyn's Pilgrim]]
T2: [[Plains]], [[Midnight Guard]]
T3: [[Forest]], [[Soul Warden]], [[Presence of Gond]]
T4: Swing for the win
Optimal play 2:
T1: [[Forest]], [[Avacyn's Pilgrim]]
T2: [[Plains]], [[Bramblesnap]], [[Soul Warden]]
T4: [[Presence of Gond]], swing for the win
I am open to suggestions for the deck and especially the sideboard. Thanks for looking!
