Commander: Najeela, the Blade-Blossom

Najeela is a powerful five-color commander who can generate a horde of Warrior tokens when attacking with at least one creature. This can lead to an explosive board presence, but we'll also leverage her abilities to support our stax strategy.

>Deck Strategy: Stax and Combo

Stax decks aim to slow down opponents' game plans by employing "stax" pieces that restrict their resources and actions. These pieces often hinder mana production, card draw, and overall game progression. In our Najeela deck, we'll combine stax elements with a combo finish involving infinite combat steps and Warrior tokens.

>Stax Pieces:

  • Rule of Law: This enchantment limits each player to casting only one spell per turn. This slows down opponents and can disrupt combo decks.

Collector Ouphe: An artifact-hate creature that disables opponents' activated abilities of artifacts. This can cripple artifact-heavy decks. This also affects you, so know when to play this one.

Root Maze: Great one drop stax piece that slows everyone down.

Narset, Parter of Veils and Teferi's Puzzle Box : help lock out the game by taking cards away from your opponents.

Teferi, Time Raveler and Grand Abolisher: keep them from interacting with you.

>Combo Finish:

Najeela's Warrior tokens can generate infinite combat steps through the following cards:

  • Druid's Repository: When a creature attacks, you gain a charge counter on the Repository. By attacking with at least five creatures (including Najeela), you can generate enough counters to pay for Najeela's ability to create more attacking Warriors.

Nature's Will: Whenever a land you control is tapped for mana, its controller untaps all lands they control. This, combined with Najeela's ability, lets you untap all lands for every Warrior token you create, potentially leading to infinite combat steps.

Storm-kiln Artist and Chain of Smog gives you infinite treasures to stack for Najeela's trigger giving you infinite combats

>Other Combos:

>Supporting Cards:

Card Draw: Include efficient card draw spells like Mystic Remora, and Rhystic Study, to maintain your hand size and dig for important cards.

Interaction: Run a suite of removal spells and counterspells to deal with threats and protect your combo. Cards like Swords to Plowshares, Path to Exile, and Counterspell are essential.

Ramp: Fast mana is crucial in EDH. Include mana rocks like Mana Crypt, and Sol Ring, to accelerate your game plan.

Protection Reconnaissance can keep Najeela out of harms way if you need or can help keep her vigilant to help block others. Combat step includes the following steps:
Beginning of Combat Step.
Declare Attackers Step.
Declare Blockers Step. using Reconnaissance here prevents damage to your creatures and does not deal damage to opponents (Maze of Ith)
Combat Damage Step.
End of Combat Step. using Reconnaissance here is vigilance for your creatures.

>Conclusion:

Building a competitive Najeela EDH deck with stax elements requires balancing slowing down your opponents and maintaining your own game plan. By incorporating powerful stax pieces and utilizing Najeela's abilities for both aggressive attacks and untapped mana, you can create a formidable deck that can hold its own in competitive Commander circles. Remember to adapt your strategy to your local meta and always be prepared to adjust your deck to counter emerging threats. Good luck and enjoy competitive EDH's intricate dance of strategy and tactics!
