Naya Midrange (Standard)

The deck has gone through some pretty major revisions. Selfless Spirit is in the 75. I threw 3 in the main deck to help capitalize on having Avacyn. It also chumps copters until we can find removal. Pia is in the main, replacing Hanweir Garrison. A lot of times I need Garrison to make tokens but I can't afford to attack - this is less devastating but more effective by just making the thopter token. A 1/1 flyer is very relevant. Tireless Tracker replaced Thalia as we desperately needed card advantage. Servant of the Conduit helps round out the mana base (which still isn't great). Advocate needs no introduction.

The planeswalker package got an upgrade in Tamiyo - we need card advantage and sometimes her -2 is the reach we need to close out the game. There are no islands in the deck - either your mana works out and you have an Aether Hub or you have Oath of Nissa out. Otherwise, she's a dead card - not a gamble everyone is willing to take I'm sure. For Game Day I filled the card advantage hole with Nahiri - it works okay but with Avacyn as your only ultimate target - it's a bit lackluster. Chandra, Torch of Definance has been lighted tested in this spot as well. The mana works a lot better but, without a lot of removal we can't protect her very well. Her card advantage isn't as reliable either. She does represent a quicker clock though. Better suited for a control deck rather than midrange.

Nissa was moved to the main because of her versatility. Depending on the match-up she can be replaced with Chandra, Flamecaller.

Oath of Chandra came in for Harnessed Lightning. It makes us a lot softer to Smuggler's Copter but stronger against every deck not running it.

Blessed Alliance replaced 2 of my Harnessed Lightning as I found myself on the wrong side of too many creatures that laughed at my burn. It also serves as a way to gain life in the main.

Westvale Abbey doesn't come into play often but there are a number of ways to generate incidental creatures in the deck and sometimes turning them into a 9/7 indestructible flyer is the way to go (or just threatening to).
