Overall, this deck wants to win really early. In fact, this deck can win on turn 4 with a decent hand or turn 3 with Sol Ring or Seething Song. If the game goes long, you will likely be in a worse position then most decks, but you always have a chance to win in 1 turn with an unblockable pumped up Kediss.
A pretty common game looks like "turn 1 defense, turn 2 Kediss, turn 3 Jeska, turn 4 pump Kediss to swing for the win.
Because Kediss can hit any of the 3 players, evasion isn't the most important thing in the world, but there are still some for when you need them. Still, there are more than 8 evasion spells. There cards in other categories that allow evasion. These include Madcap Skills, You Come to the Gnoll Camp, Soul's Fire, Frenzied Goblin, and Intimidator Initiate.
There are some redirect and counter-counterspells for dealing with targeted removal. You should hopefully win before anyone has the mana to cast a board wipe.
The defense cards are for protecting Jeska if she isn't played the same turn that you're swinging in as Kediss can't block and she will only have 1 or 2 loyalty.
You'll generally need two pump spells to reach 7 damage. The only combination of pump spells that won't work is two damage doublers, so there are only 4 of them in the deck. Even then, one of them, Raking Claws, has cycling.
