Honestly, I built this as a budget deck for laughs, but it plays surprisingly well.

I think people underestimate both the tempo and card advantage provided by adventure cards. For example this deck has:

  • 15 cards that make a viable 1-mana play
  • 22 cards that make a viable 2-mana play
  • 17 cards that make a viable 3-mana play (I'm including the Tribunal in this because it's extremely unlikely that your board will be empty on turn 3)

So you're almost always going to have something useful to do with your mana on every single turn. On top of that, each adventure gives you more than 1 option, so if you're holding 5 cards in hand, that might be 8 or 9 potential choices for what to play, and often you end up getting both of those plays, rather than just one.

Combine all of that with the combo plays from Edgewall Innkeeper and Lucky Clover, and you can easily snowball throughout the match. Oh, and Usher to Safety lets you move your Conclave Tribunal to a new target, protect your cards if your opponent tries to get rid of something you really need, or just stick your adventures back in your hand so you can get more triggers.

It's a fun deck. :) Give it a shot.
