Yarok specializes in ETB triggers, so plan around abusing them. This Yarok formula seeks to steal cards from opponents' graveyards (and sometimes elsewhere), with potential to mill them out if necessary. When thieving, keep an eye out to capitalize on opponents' cards with ETB triggers, even if you're prioritizing your own triggers. Graveyard recursion for your own deck is also notable. While most of the play strategy is straightforward, the difficulty and strength lies in snatching the most useful targets from opponents for the situation at hand. Remember to not get greedy - you might be better off playing some cards with ETB abilities before you can cast Yarok, and that's okay. Better to start building your board so you don't fall behind. Some less obvious cards/combos:
Kick Rite of Replication late-game to get 5 ETB triggers at once (not counting ETB duplication, like Yarok). Even if you target a legendary creature and lose all copies but one, the ETB triggers may be worth it.
Thieving Skydiver can be great for stealing mana rocks or footwear from opponents, but keep in mind that it must be cast in order to get the effect. Nullpriest of Oblivion's recursion operates the same way. Make sure to keep them in hand, recur them to hand (when possible), or use Muldrotha, the Gravetide to utilize their effects. If you get lucky, you might even be able to kick Skyclave Relic when Yarok and/or Panhamonicon is on board, netting yourself a very fine collection of indestructible mana rocks.
Happy graverobbing!
