Welcome to Everyone Wins! (Obviously, not everyone can win.)
This deck is meant to lay low in a game of 3 or more players, build up an enormous hand, and then win the game by giving a surprise series of gifts - ideally within a single turn. If you like playing decks where people eye you suspiciously and don't quite know what to do with you, then this deck is for you! (Seriously, it's so fun.)
Card Advantage - D,T,T We are trying to make sure we have a road to [[Nine Lives]] or [[Transcendence]]. We have to draw into one of those cards. [[Library of Leng]] and [[Howling Mine]] and [[Coveted Jewel]] double as gifts to your opponents. [[Heartwarming Redemption]] is hilarious and feels ominous when your opponents don't know your win condition. The other cards are there to double your upkeep or make sure your hand size becomes unlimited.
Card Advantage - GG
The first thing you'll notice is that the Mana Pool is enormous. That's because Land serves two purposes here: it feeds Zedruu's mana-hungry ability, and it is the easiest thing we can send over to our opponents that they will have a hard time destroying. (Second best things are enchantments, and then artifacts.)
So how do we win? Win conditions include gifting Transcendence to a player with over 20 life, doing Approach of the Second Sun while drawing 7+ card per turn, or popping down Nine Lives and "gifting" it to your opponent.
It's a super fun deck that can turn a match on its head - but it can also prolong a game to a frustrating end if you aren't able to secure your win condition and pull it off at the right moment. Weak spots: any player that can zap artifacts, and the mana cost to pull off Zedruu's main ability is actually quite high.
In the end, though - if you win - it will be the sweetest, kindest victory imaginable.
