This deck is centered entirely around gaining a lot of life and then abusing that life. The combos and certain cards have comments in this deck, but there are a few combos that are either not in the deck or are not explained above, so here they are!

  • A LOT of cards in this deck combo with the commander, Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. My favorite is Sanguine Bond and the aforementioned giant. Every turn, you gain two life and each opponent loses two life, reliable and consistent.

  • Beacon of Immortality combos with Sanguine bond as well, and is 9/10 an immediate fatal blow. Say you are at 50 life and your opponent is still at 40. You gain fifty life off of playing Beacon of Immortality and Sanguine Bond triggers, causing target opponent to lose 50 life, losing the game.

  • Beacon of Immortality also combos nicely with Tainted Remedy. The Beacon says "Target Player", so you can have any player double their life total. With Tainted Remedy, instead of gaining, let's say 35 life, they LOSE 35 life and go to a game-ending 0 instead.

  • If you want to sideboard a two card combo that's a bit off-aim from the rest of the deck, consider Kaya, the Inexorable and Karn's Temporal Sundering. When Kaya, the Inexorable ultimates, play Karn's Temporal sundering to take an extra turn, it exiles as it resolves. At the beginning of your next turn, play Karn's Temporal sundering off of your Kaya Emblem and take an extra turn. Repeat the process, gaining life off of Oloro, Ageless Ascetic and essentially winning the game

  • K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth is a great single card in this deck because it allows you to pay two life instead of black mana in any cost. With the amount of life this deck gains, that'll be pocket change for most of the spells.
