Cult of the Blood Avatar (EDH / Commander)

The deck primarily focuses on casting Awaken the Blood Avatar as soon and often as possible. Because of the sac outlet built into casting the spell, we might as well sacrifice our opponent's creatures while we're at it. I really enjoy the flavor of a cult kidnapping innocent villagers and using them in a sort of Old God ritual, it's very reminiscent of Lovecraftian mythology imo - especially Insurrection.. Speaking of which, we also have some eldrazi + friends to work with that flavor, including Emrakul's Hatcher and Pawn of Ulamog. The whole cult thing is also very well represented on cards like Westvale Abbey, Village Rites and Insurrection (sort of, a lot of people getting mindwashed).

Anyways, this deck wasn't a walk in the park to build, as you can probably guess from the massive maybeboard. A lot of the cuts had to be made due to budget, so please consider this if you want to give me some feedback on the deck. Don't take this as in "no feedback allowed" - I could really use some advice on the deck, specifically the draw and removal section.

Lastly, I cut a lot of the pure "make token" spells like Dragon Fodder and Raise the Alarm. In my opinion, it's just better to have those abilities stapled onto creatures, so that they're more easily abusable. However, the deck doesn't run a lot of recursion, except for some semi-recursion like Phyrexian Reclamation. This might be a mistake, since I don't plan on casting Extus, Oriq Overlord a lot, and he'll get very expensive very quickly.

EDIT: I've put some of the better "pure token spells" back in, like Secure the Wastes. I've also cut a bit down on removal, since my big steal spells like Mob Rule, Mass Mutiny and Insurrection basically serves double duty as removal and sac fodder.
