~$25 Birb Slinging (EDH / Commander)

Akim is the most underrated c2020 Commander by far. Super open ended to build too. You get a birb from the first token each turn (including your opponents turns) and any kind of token (treasure, clue, spawn, etc.)

This is a value, control deck. While you win by overwhelming opponents with an army of moderately sized doublestrike tokens, you get there by keeping opponents in check and accruing value from your commander.

Most of the deck is instants that make tokens alongside other helpful effects, encouraging very interactive play. Every turn is your turn with this deck.

To stay within budget the ramp and draw package is a small part in this deck. However clue and treasure tokens help mitigate this while creating synergy with our commander.

There are a handful of artifacts that have activated abilities that generate tokens. A token at instant speed is neat, but in this deck it comes with a friend.

Board presence is crucial here, a well placed board wipe will send us far back if not loose us the game. We have a suite of counterspells and instants to protect the board state and our commander.

Lastly value gets ridiculous with other token generators, Talrand, Saheeli, Young pyromancer, and Murmuring mystic have perfect synergy with this instant centric deck. Anthems seal the deal, dozens of 1/1's are good, 4/4's with double strike are game ending
