The deck is a lower-power deck (level 4-5) without win conditions based on combos. However, the high level of synergies among cards allows the player to easily gain the game.
I designed the deck according to a "Modern format perspective". When Infect was a tier in the Modern meta, I used to play the deck and I remember how its strategy was simple and linear: pump your creatures to make opponents getting 10 poison counters within 3-4 turns.
I transposed the idea in this commander, where the main strategy is to proliferate massively and gain the game in very short time. For this reason I focused on maximizing the infect-proliferate strategy and I thinned the deck aiming to have the most efficient cards which would have supported the archetype. To do this I decided to avoid counters and wraiths to save important slots and add more synergic cards. Because it was not my first time that I play Atraxa, Praetors' Voice infect-proliferate, I tried to figure out a deck which was not entirely based on commander's effect. Therefore, I tried to create a shell where several cards could easily substitute the commander on the battlefield. Finally, because the deck does not play tutors, I selected several draw engines to refill the hand constantly.
After some games I noticed that the actual version of the deck performs better than the past due to the most recently expansions which boosted the archetype. However, even changing own gameplay, the deck is a clock and therefore it will win in a relative short time. As consequence, in few turns you are forced to deal with the entire commander pod which starts gaming against you. The result? You are the first to lose the game!
Personal considerations. Although the deck is a piece of my heart because Infect was one of my first competitive deck, probably I will put it away to avoid playing 3 vs 1 every commander game :'(
