Land Animation: Death by Lands (Modern)

This deck is built around the concept of fighting lands with elemental synergy as well.

Ramp play: Arboreal Grazer to get second land out, Leafkin Druid & Risen Reef to get more lands out. Courser of Kruphix for additional land plays and life-gain if needed.

When lands are out: Omnath, Locus of the Roil will give +1/+1 counters to target elemental with the landfall trigger. Sylvan Advocate will buff our lands when they attack.

Attacking with lands:

• Sylvan awakening will turn our lands into creatures with a base power/toughness of 2/2 with indestructible and haste (very important).
• Nissa, Worldwaker or Nissa, Who Shakes the World will also weaponise lands as well to fight.

Land Fight Interactions:

• Awakening of Vitu-Ghazi will turn a land into a base 0|0 with 9 +1/+1 counters on it. This means that once it has been played, you can target it with either Nissa worldwaker as that is changing its base power. For Nissa Who shakes the world, you must use this ability first as its a non-creature land, then play Awakening of Vitu-Ghazi.
• Cast Sylvan Awakening then cast Rallying Roar, allowing you to attack with all your lands on the board, as all the tapped lands are now creatures.
• Sylvan Awakening can trigger Risen Reef, as all lands are now elemental creatures. Cast Sylvan awakening and play a land with a Risen Reef on the battlefield this activates it's trigger. It's a really fun interaction.

Sideboard: Honestly I am not really one for sideboards it's what I am weakest at, so your additions will most likely be better than mine but regardless.

Out:

• Awakening of Vitu-Ghazi if going tall with a 9/9 (13/13) isn't helping if the opponent is going wide cut this out.
• Courser of Kruphix if the extra health isn't worth it cut this out.

In:

• Planar Outburst, our board wipe safe guarding our land creatures.
• Terra Eternal, our counter to board wipes.
• Weather the storm, our counter to red burn & storm decks.
• Safewright Quest if you need more land fetching.

Maybe board:

• Nyxbloom Ancient & Wakeroot Elemental is a very powerful combo but can be a bit win more (maybe?) - Wasn't included because it is out of my price range currently.
• Mina and Denn, Wildborn Tired it a little bit, maybe haven't given it enough testing. If my land fetch spells put into my hand instead of the battlefield this maybe more useful.
• Earth surge, after playing this in its current format I've never felt that what I really need was more power and toughness. Win more (but awesome).
