Untap Shenanigans

>Gameplan

This decks runs stuff that taps for value and cards that untap that stuff again. This way we can tap one permanent multiple times a turn, generating V A L U E.

Tapping

We have a lot of stuff that can tap for something, and is already good by itself, but gets even better, if it is able to tap multiple times a turn. Arcanis the Omnipotent is providing us unbeatable card-advantage, at least providing an Ancestral Recall for free each turn. We play Hangarback Walker which acts as our secondary win-condition. As we can generate quite some mana, with untapping our lands over and over again. Also, the activated ability it has is pretty good as well, growing it pretty big in a turn. For the ultimative win-condition in this deck we play Willbreaker. As we are able to untap creatures, that our opponent controls, we can target them with our untappers, and gain control of them with Willbreaker. We also can target already untapped permanents with our untappers. There is no ruling that forbids that.

Disruption

For disruption we play Fog. We have plenty of cards in our sideboard that can be swapped out for this, depending on which deck we’re playing against. For blockers, we have a playset of Fog Bank, which can save a lot of damage from us.

Mana Acceleration

As our win-cons are all pretty mana-heavy we play some ramp in addition to our land-untappers, being Birds of Paradise.

Untapping

As we now know a lot of creatures that can tap for value, we now need stuff that can untap them again. For that, we play Kiora's Follower and Vizier of Tumbling Sands, both untapping a creature a turn. We also run a playset of Kiora, Master of the Depths, untapping creatures and lands with her +1 and digging for game-pieces with the -2, which can be very powerful.

Land-Base

We play 24 lands, with Yavimaya Coast and Hinterland Harbor providing a budget mana-base.

>Sideboard

For general sideboarding, we play Broken Bond for enchantment and artifact hate.

Tron:

When playing against tron, we can easily swap out most of our Fogs for Damping Sphere.

Dredge:

Also when playing against dredge, we have three copies of Grafdigger’s Cage to sideboard in.

Burn:

Spellskite will do the job here, preventing a lot of damage.

Mill:

For mill hate, we play Clear the Mind, a nice cantrip to sideboard in to keep our library filled.

>Budget

This deck is kind of expensive, costing about 90€ on cardmarket.
