Mechanized Citadel (Artifact Combo) (Modern)

This deck wants to assemble the combo with Darksteel Citadel and Mechanized Production, producing a lot of indestructible tokens and eventually winning. As an alternative win we have a lot of thopter producing stuff, as tokens with the same name also count for Mechanized Production.

So at first we, of course, play a playset of each Darksteel Citadel and Mechanized Production to draw them frequently enough to win consistently.

For the mentioned Thopter-Win we play a playset of Topter Spy Network, drawing us cards, getting us bodies to block with and also being part of the combo. We also play three copies of Thopter Assembly, which can win the game pretty easy, if we manage to make it split into five thopters. But as it's not always a good thing to draw and pretty expensive manawise, we only play two copies. Instead we play another two copies of Tezzeret, Artifice Master, generating thopters for the win and drawing us a very fair amount of cards.

To dig for our win-conditions, we play Expedition Map, which can search us our Darksteel Citadel up in the first two turns. For additional digging we play Serum Visions.

To protect our life-total until we win with Mechanized Production, we play a playset of each Steel Wall and Pongify. I could have played Ensnaring Bridge instead, but I wanted to stay in my budget, which is not that high.
For further disruption we play eight counterspells with Mana Leak and Rune Snag.

We play 24 lands total, including the four Darksteel Citadel s and twenty Island s.

This is a fair budget list, costing 38€ on cardmarket.
