Basic synopsis:
This deck favors diverse outcomes and interactions (read: fun) vs. easy adds to more quickly lock down and oppress the boardstate. Although many of these interactions are powerful, I would not consider it cedh
'Muldrotha, the Gravetide' enables a shell of recurring utility creatures and permanents to power control, ramp, +1/+1 counter effects and a variety of win-cons. Ramp options include 'Wayfarer's Bauble', 'Ordeal of Nylea', 'Font of Fertility', 'Sakura-Tribe Elder', 'Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath', 'Gyre Sage', 'Incubation Druid', 'Expedition Map', 'Lotus Petal' and 'Jeweled Lotus' to help get and keep Muldrotha online. Card draw - 'Mishra's Bauble', 'Implement of Ferocity', 'Mystic Remora', 'Vessel of Nascency', 'Secrets of the Dead', 'Fathom Mage' or 'River Kelpie'. Recurring, direct removal is downplayed to give room for more creative plays, but remaining options include the seals 'Seal of Doom', 'Seal of Primordium', 'Seal of Removal', also 'Bane of Progress', 'Plaguecrafter' and 'The Eldest Reborn'. Counterspells and Protection include - 'Siren Stormtamer', 'Glen Elendra Archmage', 'Voidmage Prodigy', 'Diplomatic Escort', 'Sylvan Safekeeper', 'Spore Frog' and 'Plaxcaster Frogling'.
Tutoring is managed by 'Defense of the Heart', 'Pattern of Rebirth' and key lieutenant 'Gravebreaker Lamia' who also reduces casting costs from the graveyard by 1. 'Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest' is a good early play giving a +1/+1 counter to each of your creatures, each time any player (including yourself) sacrifices anything which synergizes with forced sacrifice from 'Tainted Aether', but is set-up to benefit most from Muldrotha's recursion of sacrificial utility permanents (like 'Implement of Ferocity, which also gives it's own +1/+1 counter and draws a card) and fetch lands. This brings a tide of +1/+1 counters to a variety of creatures powered by them such as 'Fathom Mage', 'Gyre Sage', 'Champion of Lambholt', 'Sage of Hours', 'Master Biomancer', 'Plaxcaster Frogling', 'Forgotten Ancient' or 'Cytoplast Manipulator'. If large creatures alone isn't enough, the virtues of their counter-powered abilities facilitate several avenues of victory. Additionally, 'The Ozolith' can store counters from lost or sac'd creatures, stacking up for a big pay off.
The climax of the creature curve in this build hits 'Titania, Protector of Argoth', who creates 5/3 tokens for sac'd lands, pairing well with 'The Gitrog Monster', 'Elvish Reclaimer', 'Sylvan Safekeeper', and the fetch lands ('Verdant Catacombs', 'Misty Rainforest', 'Polluted Delta', 'Terramorphic Expanse', Fabled Passage').
Two other notable paths to victory are built-in to this deck. The first is a value angle. 'Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern' is able to bring your opponents discarded permanents onto your battlefield which provides a tantalizing opportunity with 'Dream Halls'. Rather than reiterate typically oppressive mass discard spells, this path reduces the target on Dream Halls, allowing you to play from your graveyard, while discarding to it, potentially having no impact on your hand size. Notable helper here is the multi-functional 'The Eldest Reborn', which provides sacrifice, discard and recursion triggers, and itself can be recurred. In the absence of Dream Halls, Tergrid can be cast for her artifact side, aiding in sacrifice strategies, so she is never a dead card.
Finally, only one non-permanent is found in this deck: 'Primal Surge' can trigger a game ending wave of your entire permanent-based deck entering the battlefield with 'Laboratory Maniac' emerging as the back-up win-con.
